For more than 30 years as an interior designer, I've experienced firsthand how deeply the spaces we live in can affect the way we feel. The objects we choose to surround ourselves with bring their own energy into our homes, and I believe we can also be intentional about the energy we ask them to hold.
That belief has become an integral part of my own painting practice. Every canvas I create begins long before the finished layers of paint appear.
I begin in meditation, allowing a word or intention to emerge for the energy I want the piece to carry. The canvas is blessed and infused with Reiki, and that intention becomes the first painted layer, the unseen foundation upon which everything else is created.
The Soul Canvas Experience places you inside that process.
This time, the intention is yours. The energy is yours. And the artwork that emerges from it will ultimately live in your home, carrying something that began within you.

This intimate, one-to-one experience unfolds over two private sessions of approximately four hours each in my Charlotte, NC art studio, with time between them for your canvas to evolve.
Your Soul Canvas begins before a single mark is made. We’ll start with ceremonial cacao, meditation, and Reiki to ground you in your body and create space for the energy you want to cultivate in your life and home to emerge.
That intention becomes the foundation of your canvas, painted across the surface through words, color, marks, and symbols that hold meaning for you. You may even put the brushes aside and work directly with your hands - an invitation into play, freedom, and the simple pleasure of making a beautiful mess.
From there, I’ll guide you through my abstract painting process as we develop your color palette and build layer upon layer.
As we move into flowing and thrown paint, the process asks for surrender. The canvas turns, the paint moves, colors merge, and gravity becomes part of the creation. You can influence what happens, but you cannot control the outcome.
You create, you respond, and ultimately, you let go - allowing the painting to become what it wants to become.
A work of art that is entirely your own
At the end of this experience, you'll leave with a large-scale original painting created by your own hands - a beautiful and deeply personal piece of art made specifically for your home and the energy you want to cultivate within it.
Your Soul Canvas will carry the colors you were drawn to, the movement and marks you made, and your own creative expression. And beneath everything you can see will remain the intention from which it began.
This is a piece you won't simply choose for your home. You'll create it for your home, with the energy you want to bring into the space and the life you're living within it.
Long after our two sessions together, that energy remains woven into the artwork - a physical expression of something that began within you and now has a place in the world around you.

Two private, one-to-one immersive sessions
Approximately four hours each, giving us the space to move through the energetic and creative process without rushing.
Two ceremonial cacao experiences
Creating intentional space at the beginning of each session to arrive, connect with your body, and become present to what wants to emerge.
Meditation + Reiki
Guided meditation and approximately 30 minutes of Reiki during each session to ground, clear, and balance your energy before we move into the creative process.
Personal intention work
One-to-one conversation and reflection to uncover the energy, word, or intention that will become the foundation of your Soul Canvas.
A personalized color palette
Developed together with my guidance as both an artist and interior designer, considering what you're drawn to as well as the home in which your finished piece will live.
Private artistic guidance throughout the entire process
I'll guide you through my abstract painting process from the first marks of your underpainting through the final layers, while allowing the finished piece to remain completely your own.

Your investment includes two approximately four-hour private sessions, all ceremonial and energetic work,

This is a deeply personal experience, created entirely around you - from the energy and intention you bring into our time together to the original work of art you'll ultimately bring into your home.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not at all. Your sessions can take place on consecutive days or be spaced several weeks apart, depending on what works best for your schedule. We can meet on a weekday or weekend, with sessions taking place during the daytime. Because each session involves several hours of creative and energetic work, earlier in the day is best for this experience.
No painting experience is necessary. This is not an art class, and you don't need to arrive knowing how to create a large-scale painting. I'll guide you through my process from beginning to end, giving you the support you need while leaving plenty of room for your own intuition and creative expression to lead the way.
You don’t need to be. Before we begin, I’ll ask you to gather colors you’re naturally drawn to and photos of the space where your Soul Canvas may eventually live. From there, we’ll develop your palette together, drawing on my decades of experience in interior design, art, and color to create a combination that feels like you and works beautifully within your home.
We’ll determine the size together based on where you imagine your Soul Canvas living in your home. You can share photos and dimensions of a few possible wall spaces, and I’ll help you decide what scale will work best.
Soul Canvases begin at 36" × 36" intentionally. Working at a larger scale allows you to move your whole body as you paint, helping you get out of your head and more fully into the embodied creative process. From there, we can go as large as 40" × 60", with several size options in between.
Your experience includes a 36" × 36" canvas, with larger sizes available for an additional investment.
You won’t be left alone to figure this out. I’ll be beside you throughout the creative process, bringing my experience as an artist and designer to guide color, layering, composition, and movement while still allowing the piece to be unmistakably yours.
And yet, an essential part of creating a Soul Canvas is surrender. Once the final layers of paint are poured and the canvas begins to move and drip, neither of us can completely control what happens next. Gravity takes over. Colors move into unexpected places. The painting continues to evolve as it dries, and the finished piece often reveals itself in ways we could never have planned.
That letting go is part of the experience. You’re being invited to create without needing to control the outcome - to trust the process, allow the painting to become what it wants to become, and receive what emerges.
