What would it feel like to stop watching other people create and finally put the paintbrush in your own hand?

You're invited to:

Give Yourself Permission to Just Create

There is something incredibly freeing about creating without the expectation that you need to make something impressive or even know where you’re going before you begin.

Choose colors simply because you love them. Add water and watch them move, swirl and flow across the paper. Become absorbed in what’s happening in front of you rather than worrying about the finished painting.

15 Minutes to Create gives you what you need to begin.

I’ll show you the paints and supplies I use and the simple techniques that create the swirling, marbling and unexpected details you see in my work.

But I’m not going to teach you how to recreate one of my paintings. I’m going to give you the freedom to create your own.

No art experience required. Just 15 minutes and the willingness to begin.

You Keep Saying You Want to Create. So Let’s Begin.

You don’t need to be an artist or even consider yourself a creative person. But if something in you lights up when you see someone painting, playing with color, or completely absorbed in making something with their own hands, pay attention to that feeling.

You may have been saying for years that you’d love to paint or do something creative. You save the videos. You admire what other people make. You walk through an art supply store and want all the things, even though you’re not entirely sure what you’d do with them.

And then you go back to everything else that fills your days.

Creativity becomes something you’re drawn to but rarely give yourself the time to experience firsthand.

You don’t need a studio, hours of free time or any proof that you’re “creative enough.” That pull toward creating is enough reason to follow it - to pick up a brush, put color on paper, and find out what it feels like when you’re the one creating instead of watching from the outside.

You’ve spent enough time wondering what it would feel like. Give yourself the chance to find out.

More Than Learning How to Paint

You can find plenty of videos online that will show you a painting technique.

I wanted to create something different.

For me, fluid painting has become a way to get out of my head and into my body,

become completely absorbed in color and movement,

and create without needing to know what the finished piece will look like.

There’s something incredibly freeing about working with

paint and water that you can influence but never completely control.

The colors move, separate and settle.

The painting changes while you work and continues to change as it dries.

You get to participate in what’s happening without needing to determine exactly where it leads.

I’ll teach you enough to take away the uncertainty of how to begin,

and then encourage you to experiment, play and discover your own way of painting.

Find the Beauty That Emerges

I’ve made hundreds of these paintings, and I don’t love every painting as a whole.

But I have never made one where I couldn’t find something beautiful.

It might be the way two colors met, an unexpected deposit of pigment, the movement along

an edge or a tiny landscape that appeared as the paint and water found their way across the paper.

Part of this practice is creating without the pressure of a predetermined outcome

while remaining open to the beauty that emerges along the way.

So choose some colors you love, put on some music, and give yourself a little time

that doesn’t need to accomplish anything beyond the pleasure of creating.

Fifteen minutes is enough to begin. How long you stay is entirely up to you.
